The details

Gold prices climbed sharply in the UAE on the morning of 4 November 2026, just ahead of Dhanteras and Diwali shopping.

Gulf News reported that 24K gold reached Dh484 per gram, up from Dh473 on Tuesday.

The 22K rate increased to Dh448.25 per gram, while 18K gold rose to Dh368.50.

The quoted figures represent reported morning rates and should not be treated as fixed prices for the entire day.

The increases come as many UAE residents prepare to purchase jewellery during Dhanteras, which falls on Friday, 6 November.

Khaleej Times reported that some shoppers have been locking in prices early to reduce their exposure to sudden movements in gold rates.

Dubai's Diwali Gold Rush promotion is also taking place at participating jewellery retailers.

The promotion includes an opportunity to enter draws for a combined 1kg of gold.

Qualifying purchases of Dh1,500 or more at participating outlets can receive a raffle entry, subject to the promotion's conditions.

The campaign runs until 12 November.

Some retailers may offer separate deals involving jewellery exchange arrangements, gifts or making-charge reductions.

Shoppers should compare the full purchase cost rather than looking only at the advertised metal rate.

Gold purity, weight, making charges and any additional fees all affect the final amount paid.
