The details

Marks & Spencer is preparing to open its largest Foodhall outside the UK at Dubai Festival City in December 2026, bringing its complete food range to the UAE for the first time.

The new 15,327 sq ft (1,424 sq m) store will offer more than 3,500 core M&S products alongside 500 locally sourced items.

The range will include fresh produce, meat, groceries, baked goods, ready meals and other everyday food essentials, supplied by more than 200 UK suppliers and a network of local producers.

The store will introduce several concepts not previously available in the region.

These include the Middle East's first M&S Patisserie, a Fruit Butcher preparing fresh fruit, a sushi counter, rotisserie chicken station, coffee shop and pizza oven.

M&S will also introduce its fresh flower offering outside the UK for the first time.

The expanded format is intended to offer shoppers a more complete grocery experience, moving beyond the smaller food sections found in existing M&S stores.

The development builds on the retailer's longstanding partnership with Al-Futtaim, which began in 1997. The first M&S store in Dubai opened in Deira in 1998.

M&S has subsequently expanded its food offering across the UAE, including standalone stores and food halls.

The Dubai Festival City opening represents a further step in that expansion, with an emphasis on convenience, fresh food and a wider selection of British favourites.

The exact opening date in December has not yet been confirmed.
