The details
Dubai Design Week is taking place at Dubai Design District from 3 to 8 November 2026, offering exhibitions, installations, workshops and public activities.
The National published a guide to the event's installations on 4 November.
The festival's programme explores architecture, craft, materials and the ways design shapes everyday spaces.
One installation, Three Gardens and a Room, creates garden-like spaces using curved walls, colour and desert vegetation.
Other projects draw on traditional craft practices, including Kashmiri weaving techniques and the reuse of materials.
The main Dubai Design Week programme is free to attend and open to visitors of all ages.
A separate event, Downtown Design, runs from 4 to 8 November at the same district.
According to the official visitor information, 4 November is reserved for press and invited visitors. Public access begins on Thursday, 5 November.
Public tickets for Downtown Design cost Dh80 for one day or Dh150 for four days.
The Dubai Design Week Marketplace will take place on 7 and 8 November, featuring products from regional designers, artisans and independent businesses.
Festival opening hours are generally 10am to 10pm.
Visitors arriving by public transport can use the Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa Metro station and connect to bus route D03.
For motorists, parking is free for the first two hours at participating d3 parking areas, followed by Dh20 per hour.
