UAE manufacturers can now apply for financing through a Dh1 billion national fund. Khaleej Times reports that eligible businesses can seek up to Dh100 million per project or group, with zero annual interest and a 0.75% service fee. Financing can cover up to 80% of qualifying capital costs. Applications are open through Emirates Development Bank.
The details
Applications have opened for financing through the UAE's Dh1 billion National Industrial Resilience Fund.
Emirates Development Bank and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology announced the activation of the application portal on 4 November 2026.
The five-year programme is intended to support manufacturing capacity in industries considered strategically important to the UAE.
Eligible businesses can apply for financing to establish new factories, expand production facilities and invest in equipment and manufacturing technologies.
The fund offers financing with a zero per cent annual interest rate.
However, it is not entirely free of financing charges. An annual service fee of 0.75% applies.
The maximum financing amount is Dh100 million per eligible project or group.
Eligible capital expenditure can receive financing covering up to 80% of the relevant costs.
Priority areas include critical industries and manufacturing activities associated with food security, medical supplies and domestic supply-chain resilience.
The programme supports both qualifying new industrial projects and existing manufacturers seeking to expand their operations.
Businesses can review the eligibility requirements and submit applications through Emirates Development Bank's designated portal.
Applications are subject to assessment and approval.
The opening of the portal does not guarantee financing, nor does it mean every industrial project automatically qualifies for the maximum amount.
For manufacturers considering investment or expansion, the programme provides a potentially significant alternative financing option.
