The details
Dubai Municipality's expanded winter camping season at Al Ruwayyah started on 1 November 2026 and will run until 30 April 2027.
The municipality has increased the site's capacity to 600 camps, approximately 120% more than in previous seasons.
Traditional camping plots include standard spaces measuring 400 square metres and larger plots of up to 800 square metres.
The expanded offering also introduces 50 dedicated caravan plots and 10 fully equipped camps for daily rental.
The new daily rental option is designed to provide an alternative for visitors who do not want to establish and equip a seasonal campsite.
UAE nationals can register and reserve seasonal plots through Dubai Municipality's designated winter camping platform or the DubaiNow app.
Seasonal permits are available for periods of three to six months, subject to the applicable booking requirements and approvals.
Campers must comply with site regulations, including requirements covering temporary fencing, plot boundaries and permitted uses.
The programme is intended to provide families with more organised ways to enjoy Dubai's winter outdoor season.
Availability, booking requirements and eligibility may differ between seasonal plots, caravan spaces and daily rental facilities.
