Dubai has launched Yumnak, a service bringing healthcare, transport, home support and housing assistance together for eligible senior citizens aged 60 and above. Depending on eligibility, support can include home doctor visits, nursing, medication delivery, assisted transport and home modifications. Families can call 800 588 to enquire about services and requests. One point of contact should make a complicated care journey a little easier.
The details
Dubai Health announced the launch of Yumnak on 1 November 2026, bringing together services designed to support senior citizens and help them live more independently.
The initiative was developed using feedback from older residents and involves Dubai Health, the Dubai Health Authority, the Community Development Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment and a healthcare management partner.
The programme is designed for senior citizens aged 60 and above, with individual services subject to eligibility. The official announcement places particular emphasis on supporting senior Emiratis.
Available services include home medical consultations, nursing, dental care, physiotherapy and delivery of medicines or medical supplies.
For people with limited mobility, transport assistance may be arranged for medical appointments using suitably equipped vehicles and trained personnel.
The Community Development Authority contributes social support services, including assistance for eligible caregivers and care for older people living alone.
Housing-related support can include assessments and modifications to make homes safer and more accessible.
The initiative also includes training for family members and caregivers.
Rather than expecting families to approach several agencies separately, Yumnak provides a single enquiry number, 800 588, for information, selected bookings and follow-up.
