The details

Drivers travelling through central Dubai early on Sunday, 1 November, should plan alternative routes as major roads close for Dubai Ride 2026.

The Roads and Transport Authority has announced closures from 3am until 9.30am on Sheikh Zayed Road between the Trade Centre junction and Al Safa Bridge, Lower Financial Centre Street between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, and one direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.

Suggested alternatives include Upper Financial Centre Street, Zabeel Palace Street, Al Wasl Road and Al Khail Road.

Dubai Metro will operate from 3am until midnight to support the event. Participants using public transport have been reminded to ensure their nol cards have sufficient balance, with at least Dh30 advised for return journeys.

Dubai Ride forms part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, with a 12km route along Sheikh Zayed Road and a shorter 4km family route in Downtown Dubai.

Participation is free, but registration is required. Motorists should allow extra time and follow live RTA directions.
