Dubai opened a 500-metre bridge linking traffic from Dubai World Trade Centre and One Central towards Al Mustaqbal Street. The two-lane bridge is intended to reduce pressure around Za’abeel Palace Street and nearby intersections.
The details
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority opened a 500-metre, two-lane bridge serving traffic from Dubai World Trade Centre and One Central towards the intersection of Al Mustaqbal Street and Za’abeel Palace Street.
The bridge forms part of a wider development project involving bridges, tunnels and lane expansions around the World Trade Centre area. It is intended to improve connections between Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai World Trade Centre, One Central, Al Mustaqbal Street and surrounding districts.
The improvement is relevant to commuters and visitors travelling through one of Dubai’s busiest event and business areas. It is also expected to support access during exhibitions and other large events at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The project is part of RTA’s wider programme to improve traffic flow around major commercial and residential corridors.
