The details

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority introduced four new public bus routes and modified 13 existing routes from 17 July 2026.

The new routes connect International City with Dubai Silicon Oasis, Al Quoz with Dubai Internet City Metro Station, and Dubai Silicon Oasis Lake with International City. Other changes affect routes serving Academic City, Oud Metha, Al Barsha South, Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Business Bay and Al Qusais Industrial Area.

RTA said the changes were based on transport-demand studies and were intended to improve links between residential, commercial and service areas. Several routes were revised to improve connections with Dubai Metro and Metro Link services.

The changes are particularly relevant to residents using public transport to reach work, education, shopping and residential areas. Passengers using routes affected by rerouting or discontinued sections were directed towards alternative routes.
