Some Dubai schools moved the October mid-term break to 12–16 October, with classes resuming on 19 October. The change affects some schools rather than every school in the UAE. Parents should confirm the dates directly before booking travel or arranging childcare.

The details

Some Dubai private schools moved the October mid-term break forward to 12–16 October 2026, with classes resuming on Monday 19 October. The reported change applies to some schools rather than automatically to every school in the UAE. Parents should confirm the dates directly with their child school.

The change may affect family travel, childcare, school transport and paid activities during the October break. It is not a universal Dubai or UAE calendar change, because schools can operate under different curricula and approval arrangements.

Parents should rely on the latest circular or official message from their own school before booking flights, accommodation or childcare. The same source should be used to confirm the first day back and any related assessment or activity dates.
