Etihad Rail began passenger services on 30 September 2026, adding a new inter-emirate travel option between Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah. Published fares start at AED39 for Comfort Class and AED109 for Premium Class. The Dubai station connects with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station, and a combined QR code can link rail travel with Dubai Metro, tram and bus services. Passengers should check schedules and capacity before travelling.

The launch creates a new option for work, family and leisure travel between the participating emirates. The Dubai connection with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station also makes the service relevant to passengers combining rail with local public transport.
